Welcome to the Friday Music Blog on the Indie Republic Network.

I’ve been embroiled in a debate with one of my co-hosts on a radio program I do called “The Main Event Show” on Friday Music Blog - R&B Favorites by Chief 187 Eventlevel.com. He maintains that Hip Hop/Rap is the end all be all of music and doesn’t have patience for other artists’ music, dismissing it as “old”.

I counter emphatically that a true musician will embrace all music as a way to broaden one’s horizon, deepen their understanding of music, and influence their craft.

Secretly I think this guy argues with me to “get my goat” and because he’s in love with me. Regardless, I believe having one favorite genre of music is fine as long as you still expose yourself to other styles with an open mind.

This week’s topic is favorite R&B music. List your favorite Rhythm and Blues music from any and every year, decade, andFriday Music Blog - R&B Favorites by Chief 187 movement. Be sure to include the artist.

To find me on your Internet Radio “dial” please tune into one, two, or all of the shows that feature my talents.

On Tuesday nights from 8-10pm EST WhooBazoo.com presents the incomparable “Around the Cooler”, a sports program that surpasses all the rest with depth of knowledge and mix of conversational tone and egotistical witticisms.

On Wednesday nights from 8-10pm EST I appear on Eventlevel.com’s “The Main Event Show”, a brilliant platform celebrating the Indie Artist. From models to musicians to tattoo artists, any talent with a catalogue of work and a fiery independent story is chronicled and interviewed along with topical news stories and the panels’ unique views on the events.

On Sunday nights from 8-10pm EST I can be found on Eventlevel.com’s “The Final Round Show”, the Internet’s all-time best Mixed Martial Arts/Sports show. Featuring many top-notch fighter interviews LIVE, analysis of fights and pre-fight conjecture, as well as all sports news, this comedic and far-reaching sports program never fails to impress in star power and entertainment.

In addition to my on-air schedule, my articles are syndicated throughout the Indie Republic Network.

I look forward to reading your selections for your favorite Rhythm and Blues songs. Check back here often to see the list grow and leave your comments.
